We have thought of many ways you can help young musicians shine. Perhaps you have an extra instrument or two lying around your home. Through the HMDSS instrument loan program your instrument can begin making music again in the hands of a well deserving young musician.

Maybe the simple beauty of children making music opens a flood gate of ideas for you. Please contact us and share them.

If you have the good fortune of having a few extra dollars and would like to see young musicians benefit through any of the programs offered by HMDSS, please make a donation and specify the program you would like to contribute to.

Scholarships

Students will benefit from a full year of private lessons with the teacher of their choice.

Instruments - Students will benefit from the purchase or assistance in purchasing a new musical instrument.

CD Projects - Students will benefit from the process of working with professionals who will play and record the students' music. The recording arts offer personal and musical reflection as well as a documented record of progress.

Clinics/Workshops

Students will benefit from workshops on music performance, composition, improvisation, ensemble playing, etc., as HMDSS sponsors guest artists and teachers in conjunction with other organizations and for its own events.

Performance Opportunities

Students will benefit from the experience of performing. Performing is a vital building block to one's musical life. HMDSS will create performance venues by partnering with restaurants, coffee shops, shopping centers, churches, bookstores, etc., offering live performance opportunities.

General Fund

The general fund allows us to operate and run all of the programs that benefit young musicians.

Endowment

By building the HMDSS endowment, we can ensure a rich musical legacy and benefit to young musicians for generations to come. We believe music is everlasting and hope that the young musicians of today will join us in helping young musicians shine tomorrow and beyond.
